OUR HISTORY

“Believing in a child will motivate them to reach towards success but teaching a child to believe in themselves will empower them to attain it.”

In 2012, Un-Rappin` the Gift set out to make a difference in the lives of teens ages 13 to 18 all throughout Granville County and its surrounding areas by providing them with tools, resources and support they need in order to shape them into the leaders of tomorrow and assisting them with discovering their purpose, giftings and talents. As a result of the remarkable success of the program, Latonia Oakley, the program's founder desired to broaden the boundaries of the program's scope by designing a program that would encapsulate younger youth, inspiring them to look beyond their now and aim for the future. Thus, the emergence of R.E.A.C.H, a 21st Century Learning Afterschool and Summer program.

The R.E.A.C.H program, A Place Where Every Child Is Lifted, strengthened its stakes thru a partnership with Granville County Schools in a united effort to increase student academic performance, to equip students with social and emotional skills and close achievement gaps for historically marginalized populations for elementary and middle schools.

The R.E.A.C.H Program - Granville County will continue to become the best Youth Organization in the area - offering youth of the community a chance to reach their fullest potential.
